The idea for Busy Day Books came to me one Christmas when my husband and I were looking for unique and personal gift to share with our family and friends.  We had just had our first child.  Everyone always loved to see the newest pictures of her.  While looking through photos of her we were inspired to write a short story entitled Busy Lizzy.  We took those photos and digitally transformed them into bright, colorful illustrations to accompany our story.  We gave these books as gifts to our parents, grandparents and brothers and sisters.  It was amazing to see the joy and excitement that it brought to their faces.   And now that our own Busy Lizzy is older, she loves reading the book over and over again.
